The Colorado Family Planning Initiative made IUDs and other long-term birth control methods (implants/injections) available to women in a new an innovative way and teen births and abortions dropped by nearly 50%, and the birth-rate among teens who were already mothers fell by 58%.

For ever $1 spent, the state saved $5.85.

Anyone want to guess who opposed it?

Hopefully other states will follow in Colorado's footsteps.

This is wonderful news. It's good to read that other states are following this model, as well.
